South Sudanese-Ugandan Model Aliet Sarah Lands Fall/Winter 2019 Miu Miu Ad Campaign

In today's edition of Africans making waves internationally is South Sudanese-Ugandan model Aliet Sarah, who is featured in the Fall/Winter 2019 ad campaign for Italian fashion brand Miu Miu. The Mui Mui FW19 campaign is powered by an exploration of youth and photographed by Eddie Wrey with styling and art direction by Katie Eleanor Grand, make up by Diane Kendal and starring Aliet Sarah, Abby Champion, Hailey Bieber, Jean Campbell and Tanghe Elite. The campaign will soon appear on platforms in the form of display advertising, print and web.
Aliet is signed to Joram Model Management (JMM) in Uganda as her mother agency. The Mui Mui campaign is not her first international work, she has also appeared in publications like British Vogue and worked with renowned designers such as: Dries Van Noten, Givenchy, Alexander McQueen LANVIN, Saint Laurent, Valentino, Versace to name a few. Her star keeps shining and we look forward to watching her flourish. There are a lot of Ugandan models whose careers are thriving internationally; but need I mention that most, if not all Ugandan models rocking the international modelling and fashion industry are represented by the same agency, Joram Model Management. What this agency is doing is commendable. Uganda's fashion industry is growing slowly but surely and JMM's consistency in scouting and nurturing the best talent plays a pivotal part in the advancement of the industry and building a legacy while at it, showing the masses that it is possible to make a living off fashion. This agency will most definitely go down in Uganda's fashion history for its role to the country's fashion industry and giving countless young Ugandan women the opportunity of a lifetime to live out their dreams and changing their lives forever. Onwards and upwards JMM.
