#BlackGirlMagic Toya Delazy Partners With Cartoon Network to Create an All-African PowerPuff Girls Theme Song

By Stella WaAfrika

It looks like African flavour is of the essence (its about damn time) well, if our previous story about Nigerian artist collaborating with Nike is anything to go by, there's more good news. Read more HERE. This one is a case of African flavour with a pop of Black Girl Magic.

Broadcasting powerhouse Cartoon Network is teaming up with South African jazz-electro-hip-pop artist, Toya Delazy, to create an all African localized theme song for the re-launch of The Powerpuff Girls original series.

The show will launch on television screens across the continent, exclusively on DStv channel 301 starting on Saturday, 30 April at 22:55.

The announcement comes after Delazy launched South Africa's first all-female rap crew, Klutch Kollective which comprises of herself as the executive producer as well as  DK, Fiah and Genius; who are no strangers in the music industry.  The four met as students while attending the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
