Five months after winning his first award at the South African Hip Hop Awards
2014 for “Best Newcomer”, SOLO continues to put in work, overtime.
Earlier this year Jeep South Africa approached Solo and rapper, Blaklez, to
produce a collaboration for their All-New 2015 Jeep Renegade, launching
soon.
After some time in the studio together their new single ‘Hit The Ground
Running’ was created and is now the official soundtrack for the Renegade TV
& Radio ads currently airing. The track can be downloaded by using the
Shazam app, when the Renegade TV Ad airs.
On Friday, 8 May 2015 Solo’s music video to his latest single “Overtime”
premiered on Channel O’s Turn Up. It is simple, yet tells the exact story
behind the single, that time can never be given or reversed & includes
elements from the movie “TIME” starring Justin Timberlake. Overtime has had
an incredible run which includes high rotation on national and local radio
stations.
