"One Day I Hope To See Somalia Full Of Schools, Libraries & Hospitals," - Barkhad Abdi

Limousine driver turned Hollywood actor, Barkhadi Abdi returned to his home country Somalia for the first time in 20 years. The 2014 Oscar nominee fled the Horn of Africa country for USA due to political instability.

According to Adeso, the Somali-American actor and Adeso Goodwill Ambassador, Barkhad Abdi, made an emotional return to Somalia after fleeing the country more than 20 years ago. Abdi’s visit to Somalia was an opportunity for him to witness first-hand Somalia’s emerging stories of progress, hope and resilience, despite the major challenges still facing his homeland.

This is one of the statements that touched my heart, "One day I hope to see Somalia full of schools, libraries & hospitals."
We often take these rights for granted but they are not accessible to everyone, some only dream of such constitutional rights.
