AfriDocs Presents African Music Film Month





February is the month dedicated to African music aimed at  From 03 - 26 February, AfriDocs will feature Africa’s historical and contemporary musical talents through documentaries which will be broadcast on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 20h00 Central African time (GMT + 2) on Channel ED (DStv channel 190 and GOtv channel 65).

The 2 weekly documentary slots feature Abdullah Ibrahim, Bi Kidude, Cesaria Evora, Salif Keita, Oliver Mtukudzi, Bob Marley, Omar Sosa, Sister Fa, Spoek Mathambo as well as stories about the Malian Festival Au Desert, Paul Simon’s Graceland and the history of punk in Africa.

More music and cultures from various African countries such as: Angola, Cape Verde, Ghana, Kenya, Mali, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Zanzibar and beyond.

The month long music festival celebrates the diverse music and culture of Africa.
