Nigeria to Host Africa International Film Festival

The Africa International Film Festival which is part of the developmental agenda for the African film industry will be hosted in Nigeria from 9-16 November 2014 at the Tinapa Business and Leisure Resort in Calabar, Cross River State.
The film festival includes a selection of short stories from over 20 countries across the African continent. The festival also offers industry platforms from development to financing and from pitching and symposia on digital distribution and piracy. 

The event features activities such as screening, workshop, film premiers amongst others.
In addition to the film festival, the AFIFF is also planning a once in a lifetime opportunity to take 10 students to the USA to equip them with practical training in different aspects of filmmaking which will be provide in form of a scholarship.
