It is that time of the year where African filmmakers both behind the scenes and on screen get to be rewarded for their hard work in the portrayal of original African stories.
The Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards were introduced to us last year, March 2013. This year will mark the 2nd annual AMVCAs which will be held at Eko Hotel in Lagos on March 8th at 6pm (CAT).
Catch all the glitz and glam on Africa Magic Entertainment, channel 151 and 150.
The hosts for this year include Osas Ighodaro (Nigerian Actress), IK Osakioduwa (Nigerian TV/Radio Presenter and Vimbai Mutinhiri (Zimbabwean TV Presenter/Model/Former BBA contestant.

The AMVCAs were created to acknowledge and celebrate the contribution made by Pan African filmmakers, actors and technicians in the success of the continent’s film and television industry.
This year a total of 28 awards in 26 categories will be awarded ranging from acting and directing to scriptwriting and cinematography, with 9 of those categories being voted for by the viewers. Other areas in which honours will be given are editing, make-up, sound, lighting, including the most anticipated of the whole ceremony, the Industry Merit Award and the Trailblazer of The Year Award.
