Book Review - Nervous Conditions by Tsitsi Dangarembga

Nervous conditions is a title of a semi-autobiographical novel written by Zimbabwean author, Tsitsi Dangarembga. It tells the story of a Rhodesian family in post-colonial Rhodesia during the 1960s.
Throughout the novel, themes such as   class, gender, race and cultural change during the post-colonial conditions of present-day Zimbabwe.

It is an insightful book and a recommendation to all African story lovers. I would highly recommend this to Africans living in diaspora as message never to forget who you are. You are still African despite the geographical location, you can still preserve and maitain your  identity. Well, that's my opinion though!

Characters in the storyline include: Babamukuru, Maiguru, Tambu, Nyasha, Lucia, Chido, Jeremiah,  Mainini, Netsai, Takesure and Nhamo.

I give it a 4/5 rating.
