Vanessa is Tanzania's first ever MTV Base VJ. She became the first Tanzanian MTV Base VJ after a nationwide search in 2007. She's a model, radio presenter for choice FM, HIV activist, speaker, singer and an overall lover of art. All in all, she was born to entertain.
In 2012, she went on to host MTV Base Meets, a show aimed at empowering young Africans through meeting various world renowned personalities. The MTV Meets series featured US mogul Uncle Rush aka Russell Simmons, African supermodel Alek Awek, African billionaire and business man Aliko Dangote, former president of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo, Akon, African soccer star Emmanuel Adebayor and many more.
This young African woman has stopped at nothing to reach for the stars. Her involvement as an activist for HIV/AIDS in cooperation with the MTV Staying Alive Foundation makes her 'African Cool'
