Meet Jo-anne Amunjela, A Namibian PhD Student Who Made a Great Discovery In Cancer Research

She's my African personality of the day without a doubt!

It's not everyday that we wake up to friends who have made a great discovery in CANCER research!
Jo-anne is one of the most dedicated people I have ever met. She is a go-getter and for as long as I have known her,  she always  vowed to find a cure for cancer.

This ambitious young lady is a true definition of a DOER and a genius while at it. Over a year ago she came top of her MSc Clinical Pharmacology class at the University of Aberdeen.

On Friday, the University of Aberdeen published the following  article this academic's findings:

She will present these findings at the Genes and Cancer conference to be held at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom from the 13 to 15 April 2015.

Lupita was right about our dreams being valid. Dear young African girl child, it is possible. When you combine hardwork, determination, dedication and willingness to learn you will reach for your dreams.  I'm beaming with pride. Heros really live amongst us!

Congratulations my girl. The world is your oyster.
