Young, African And Making Things Happen is our new feature profiling young Africans doing it for themselves. The feature is inspired by talent our continent has got to offer. As young people, we are the future leaders and as we speak, there are fellow youth putting their dreams into action.
Our first African is the savvy business woman, Andiswa Tinto based in Cape Town South Africa.
Andiswa Tinto is a self employed Registered Debt Counselor, she has more than five years in the Debt Counselling field; she also worked for major Banks including Standard bank and Nedbank. While she was doing her last year in tertiary she volunteered for Saccawu as a Union Organiser. She currently holds a Bachelor of Technologies Degree in Human Resources Management.
Currently CEO and Founder of Credit Relief Kings & Tinto’s Cleaning & Catering.
Serving as a Secretary of Mzansi Young Women in Business and is also part of a number of NPO’s around Cape Town. She is also involved with City of Cape Town, Department of Education and Healing of Memories as a Trainer / Facilitator for Youth Programmes.

Please give us a brief profile about your business
Credit Relief Kings (CRK), a 100% Black Woman Owned Enterprise, I founded in early 2010, with an objective of helping people get out of debt. CRK is a close corporation and an authorized debt counseling services provider registered with the National Credit Regulator (NCR). The company works closely with major banks and credit providers. With more than five years in the debt counseling field, also worked for major Banks including Standard bank and Nedbank.
What prompted you to become an entrepreneur?
Passion for people, I like communicating, advising and
making my own decisions. I once said to my business mentor, I want to become
famous as my business will be well know.
Describe a day in a life of an entrepreneur
Long hours and sleepless nights.
You have to be on top of your game at all time
You have to be creative and generate ideas every minute.

What some of the challenges you face?
Taking risks on marketing campaigns, cash flow problems, untrustworthy employees and competition.
Despite the challenges, what keeps you going and inspired to push your business against all odds?
Passion for what I do, its within me, dedication, knowledge about the business and touching lives
What do you wish you had known before starting your own business?
That it’s difficult to start up your own business if you don’t have start-up Capital
