The 2014 BET Awards will take place on Sunday 29th June and hosted by American comedian Chris Rock.
African acts expected to perform at this year's ceremony have been announce and they include: Ice Prince (Nigeria), Mafikizolo (South Africa), Sarkodie (Ghana) and Tiwa Savage (Nigeria).
Speaking of Africans performing at the event, among the nominees under the Best International Act: Africa category are, Davido (Nigeria), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania) Sarkodie (Ghana), Toofan (Togo), Tiwa Savage (Nigeria) and Mafikizolo (SA).
The BET Awards were established in 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television network to celebrate African Americans and other minorities in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment.
