The book zooms in on life and tackles challenges the Benin born singer experienced after leaving her small country of Benin to her life in Paris, France then New York following her journey through. From winning a Grammy to the unexpected passing of her father and how she has been able to keep it all together whilst flying the African flag high.
Despite having a book out and all the work and commitment that comes with, the talented songstress also has a new album 'Eve'. The album speaks about women's rights and in a recent interview on eNCA, she reckons if women are empowered they can attain success in different aspects of their life.
Judging from the reviews, Spirit Rising is an inspirational non fiction story of one of Africa's best exports and ambassador.
