Another significant day on the African
fashion calender is Swahili fashion week. Like any other fashion
week event, the event aims to recognize African designers from all
walks of Africa showcasing and celebrating African fashion with a
touch of exquisite African fabrics inspired by the beauty that is
Africa, from colourful to things Afro chic.
This year’s participants include,
Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and the list goes on. This year marks the
fourth year of this spectacular event which brings both designers
from East and Central Africa. But all this wouldn't be a reality
hadn't been the vision of founder, Mustafa Hassanali.
The event is set to take place in
Nairobi on 6th October 2012.
